Tracy in Virginia with Multiple Sclerosis Gets Great Reports from her Neurologist

I was diagnosed with M.S. in 1998 because of my double vision.  I still got married, continued working and had two beautiful sons.  I had episodes during this time – some slight and some severe.  In 2005, I had a series of extremely bad episodes that affected every part of my body and life.  About four & a half years ago I also lost my hearing.  Today I am doing better than I have been in years.  I still cannot hear but am starting to recognize sounds.  The Doctors say it is because of my optimistic attitude, my love of life, my refusal to give up, working out 6 days a week at the local YMCA, and the drug TYSABRI once a month.

I have relearned to walk three times, have my sight back, and had wonderful therapists (physical, occupational, speech, cognitive, and listening).  I’m finally just fine! My sons, family and friends have been a big part of my success.  They have given me their time and love – and for that I will be forever grateful!
